Good deal, decent room

I booked an Oceanview Room for a quick trip. Used the 'fourth night free' deal, which made the price pretty reasonable. Saved about 20% by doing that. It felt worth the money I spent, especially with the view. Practical choice for a budget traveler.

Nice little getaway

Just got back from Copamarina. My partner and I did the romantic getaway deal for a few nights in a One Bedroom Suite. It was pretty sweet, came with some extras which was cool. The room was big and comfy, and the private beach was awesome for just chilling out. We rented kayaks one afternoon, that was fun. Food at the restaurant was good, though not super fancy. Everyone working there was friendly. Had a really relaxed time, exactly what we needed. Would totally go back.

Stayed in a Gardenview Room

I booked a Gardenview Room for three nights. The online booking process was straightforward, I just picked the dates and it showed the available rooms. Check-in was smooth, no issues there. The room itself was clean and had everything expected. We tried the farm-to-table dining one evening; the food was fresh, but the service was a bit slow. The private beach access was definitely a highlight, very convenient. Overall, it was a solid stay, nothing unexpected or bad happened. It was a good base for exploring the area.

Trying to book for Christmas. Is that usually a super busy time there? Worried about it being completely packed.

S Sam Hall 1 week ago
Christmas and New Year's are definitely peak season. Expect it to be busy and book way in advance. Prices are usually higher too.

Oh yeah, holiday seasons are packed. Winter break too. If you want a quieter experience, I'd go another time of year. But it's still fun if you don't mind the crowds.

Do they actually have a real private beach there, or is it just like, a sectioned-off public beach?

M Matt Rodriguez 1 month ago
It's a genuine private beach. Super nice and not crowded at all. Really peaceful.

They definitely have private beach access. You don't have to deal with vendors or anything like that. It's one of their best features IMO.

What's the food like at the resort? Are there good vegetarian options, or is it mostly seafood/meat?

E Elizabeth Anderson 1 month ago
They actually have good vegetarian options. Their farm-to-table thing means fresh ingredients, so they can usually accommodate. I had a really good veggie stir-fry once.

Yeah, I'm vegetarian and didn't have a problem finding stuff. Just let them know when you order, they're pretty good about it. The dining is generally high quality.

Hey planning a trip to PR. How easy is it to get to Copamarina from San Juan airport? Don't want a super long drive after the flight.

A Amanda R. 2 weeks ago
It's a bit of a drive, not gonna lie. Guánica is on the southwest coast. I'd say plan for at least 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic. You'd probably want to rent a car.

Yeah, it's a trek. The resort doesn't do airport transfers from SJU directly, so you're looking at a rental or a pretty pricey taxi/private car.

Do they take AAA discounts for booking rooms? Or is that just for specific hotels?

R Robert 1 month ago
They do offer AAA discounts! I've used it before. You usually select 'Special Rates' when you're looking to book and AAA should be an option.

D Danielle L. 1 month ago
Yeah, check the special rates section on their booking page. AARP and government rates are usually there too, so AAA should be listed.
